New water meters will solve inaccurate reads

Warren, MI, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — February 28, 2008 – Elderly water meters that under-read consumption could be costing the city of Warren some $3 million a year. Now City councilors have approved the purchase and installation of new meters for all 42,000 homes and businesses; deployment is expected to start later in the year.

The replacement program is expected to result in most homeowners being billed about $200 as a one-off charge for the new meters.
