Burlington, MA, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — September 13, 2006 – The Strategic Metering Team of KEMA, a global energy consulting firm, has developed a roadmap that identifies key stages of the automated meter reading (AMR) and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) process. The company will feature its operation excellence for AMR/AMI at Autovation 2006, the AMRA International Symposium.
The KEMA roadmap delineates major areas of interest, and defines tasks and deliverables that drive an AMR/AMI effort toward delivering a favorable strategic response. Its approach is to help utilities successfully ‘seed’ AMR developments and ‘harvest’ the value that these systems can deliver throughout the stages of the AMR/AMI implementation process.
KEMA believes that utilities have a vision of where they want their company to be in the future, and the challenge is to create greater economic value from enterprise assets, while at the same time improving supply reliability and customer satisfaction. Getting to the ‘future state’ involves leveraging technologies to their fullest to secure real-time integrated operations across the enterprise.
