Over 6,000 people ask for ZigBee specification

The ZigBee Alliance™ has confirmed that over 6,000 OEMs, vendors, service providers, designers and educators have registered to download the ZigBee specification, less than two months after it was made available to the public. The Alliance has also announced that it doubled its membership in the last year, and expects this trend to continue as more and more companies download and review the specification and OEMs from around the world begin developing ZigBee products.

The ZigBee Alliance is an association of companies working together to enable reliable, cot-effective, wirelessly networked monitoring and control products based on an open global standard. It is holding its next Open House on 14 September in Chicago, IL, where in an all-day session member companies will demonstrate ZigBee products and the Alliance will host informative sessions.
