Montreal, Canada — (METERING.COM) — February 4, 2009 – An agreement has been reached between solar panel developer and manufacturer ICP Solar Technologies Inc. and submeter manufacturer Integrated Metering Systems (IMS) to market the GreenMeter™ in North America in conjunction with IMS technology.
Under the agreement ICP Solar’s GreenMeter™ will be able to integrate with IMS’s kWh meters to allow for more precise reading of electricity consumption and production, meeting or exceeding the requirements for revenue grade monitoring or solar subsidy programs worldwide. Sales of the combined system are expected to begin later this quarter.
“Having the ability to offer a revenue grade solution to the global market that is accurate and reliable has been a key goal for ICP Solar,” said Sass Peress, CEO. “The GreenMeter™ will now be able to monitor energy usage data with greater precision and instantaneously provide this information to the web – where clients can access the analysis anywhere in the world.”
“We are very pleased to be working with ICP Solar to increase the applications for our metering products and introduce our systems to the solar marketplace,” said Charlie Wilde, president of IMS. “Given the increasing demand for alternative energy solutions and net metering installations, we see this as a natural extension of our product lines.”
