Portfolio of RF ICs extended

Analog Devices

Norwood, MA, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — October 10, 2006 – Analog Devices Inc., provider of high-performance semiconductors for signal processing applications, has extended its portfolio of RF ICs with the ADF7021 narrowband transceiver IC, designed for operation in multiple frequency bands between 80 and 940 MHz.

Fully compliant with European ETSI-300-220, North American FCC Parts 15, 90, 95 and Japan ARIB-STD-T67 regulatory standards, the ADF7021 achieves best-in-class receiver sensitivity of -123 dBm at 1 kbps, and includes on-chip T/R switch, VCO tank, RF/IF filters, fully automatic AFC and AGC. This high receiver sensitivity, together with superior interference blocking, is particularly suitable for high reliability and maximum range applications such as wireless AMR.

The ADF7021 is the latest addition to ADI’s ADF702x family of sub-GHz transceiver ICs, which offer low power and minimal external components for applications including low-rate connectivity, security systems and wireless AMR.
