Public utilities select CIS Infinity customer information and billing system

Anchorage, AK and Manitowoc, WI, U.S.A. and Toronto, ON, Canada — (METERING.COM) — March 23, 2011 – Anchorage cooperative Chugach Electric Association and the Manitowoc municipality owned Manitowoc Public Utilities have recently selected Advanced Utility Systems’ CIS Infinity customer information and billing software.

Chugach, an electric cooperative providing power for more than three-fourths of Alaska’s population, has partnered with the consulting firm, Five Point Partners to develop and design a request for proposal that was released during the late spring of 2010. Their goal was to procure a modern CIS application that would maximize their customer service capabilities, provide long-term stability and accommodate technological growth.

Manitowoc in 2009 identified the need to replace its legacy CIS with a modern and robust CIS application that would enhance customer service by enabling them to conduct their utilities business on a 24×7 basis.

Chugach’s CIS Infinity project and implementation is well underway, with a projected completion by the summer of 2012, while Advanced was on-site in February to kick off Manitowoc’s project and go-live is set for later this year.
