Saint Vincent Electricity Services goes green with GTG’s LGweb and LGaddress

Goldsboro, NC, USA — (METERING.COM) — August 16, 2006 – Saint Vincent Electricity Services Ltd. (Vinlec) the electricity company that serves the Caribbean country of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, has announced that it has procured software and services from Geographic Technologies Group – LGweb and LGaddress.

LGweb, an Intranet GIS data browser, allows employees to visualize GIS data in conjunction with billing, consumption, work order and other data found in Vinlec’s corporate databases. It is able to integrate seamlessly with the utility’s GIS and existing IT systems.

LGaddress allows users to maintain address points, centerlines, and/or meter information, as well as develop one-to-one relationships between customer geography and in-house records, including billing, work orders and consumption.

Commenting on the purchase, Curtis Hinton, CEO and co-owner of GTG, said: “Having these two systems work together instead of separately will allow Vinlec to make more informed decisions. Undoubtedly Vinlec staff will be able to identify lost revenue, optimize electric service, and work more efficiently by optimizing field crews and work orders. Other utilities that have implemented these tool sets have found them to be invaluable. GTG is very excited to continue its longstanding relationship with Vinlec.”
