San Antonio Water System selects consultants for AMI Project

San Antonio, TX, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — September 10, 2008 – San Antonio Water System (SAWS) has selected Enspiria Solutions to provide consulting services for their advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) project. The project will include vendor selection for AMI, MDMS and meter installation, and will study the viability of an AMI collaboration strategy between SAWS and other city agencies.

The benefits of the AMI project will be realized throughout many parts of SAWS. It will provide enhancements and efficiencies to the customer service, billing, and asset management systems as well as to engineering and operations management. It will also help the city manage water conservation efforts through leak detection and compliance to water use schedules.

Greg Flores, VP Communications and Customer Service for SAWS, commented that Enspiria Solutions represented the best value to the organization, given its program. “Not only will our program transform our customer relationships, but implementing this technology will help the city of San Antonio realize further reductions in water loss by detecting leaks before they escalate and help consumers become more aware of their water use.”

Enspiria Solutions provides a comprehensive range of consulting and implementation solutions aimed at improving the integration of operational, asset performance, customer service, and energy efficiency systems for the utility, government and cable sectors.
