Regina, SK, Canada — (METERING.COM) — November 8, 2010 – A seven year, multi-million dollar agreement has been concluded between SaskEnergy Incorporated and IT and business process services company CGI Group that will see CGI provide to the company a customer information system implementation project and subsequent ongoing application management, infrastructure support and disaster recovery services.
CGI’s work includes the replacement of SaskEnergy’s legacy customer and billing information system utilizing Oracle’s Customer Care and Billing application to manage critical business functions including customer service, billing, collections and meter management.

We are also pleased that our solution will be hosted and supported by CGI through its operations in Saskatchewan.”
SaskEnergy, Saskatchewan’s natural gas distribution utility, operates one of the largest natural gas networks in North America, with over 14,000 km of transmission and 67,000 km of distribution pipeline.
