Aurora, ON, Canada — (METERING.COM) — November 30, 2007 – Independent meter service company Olameter Inc. has announced a distribution agreement with FieldWorker Products Limited that enables a strategic alliance to support utility field operations through the offering of mobile workforce management (WFM) technology. FieldWorker Products is a developer of mobile data solutions for integrators, software developers, corporations and governments.
Olameter offers FieldWorker Enterprise through an Application Service Provider (ASP) model, in conjunction with its outsourced field services, for use by the utility’s own resources, or alternatively as a direct Enterprise License sale. FieldWorker Enterprise will allow Olameter and their clients to more comprehensively meet utility market requirements.
Olameter provides field operations, IT solutions, and meter sales and service to utilities across North America, including field services such as meter installations, meter reading, disconnection services, and in-field bill collections. This WFM offering will specifically support the installation of smart meters, as well as the on-going management of service orders after completion of automatic metering infrastructure system deployment.
Through this agreement, Olameter has added FieldWorker Enterprise software to its suite of hosted, utility-focused system solutions, which also include smart meter host data collection systems, meter data management systems, consumer web presentment, and CIS/billing solutions.
