Itron’s January closing of the Silver Spring acquisition means “more breadth in our offering,” says Sharelynn Moore, senior vice president of Network Solutions Group at Itron.

The acquisition is allowing Itron to have a deeper and broader offering in some areas as well as complementing existing offerings.
The acquisition has also allowed Itron to re-organise its operational structures to be able to better serve its global customers.
For instance, doing away with the gas, water and electric business units through the establishment of technology-focus groups will enable optimisation of services offered to customers in line with their and industry demands.
