EASE, the European Association for Storage of Energy, is organising the 2nd Energy Storage Global Conference on the 27-29.09.2016 in Brussels.


This not-for-profit Conference aims at putting Energy Storage – in all its facets – on the map and at fostering discussion and networking with stakeholders from the entire energy value chain.

Each day of the three-day event will be devoted to a specific pillar of Energy Storage:

Day 1 Technology – Leading research centres and technology specialists will discuss different Energy Storage technologies and systems, offering an insight into those in development and those in use.
Some of Day 1 speakers are:

Day 2 Policy – National and international policy makers will discuss how legislation can contribute to facilitate research and industrial changes, ensuring a secure, sustainable and affordable energy future.

  • Matt Roberts, Executive Director, Energy Storage Association (ESA)
  • Debi Prasad Dash, Manager, Indian Energy Storage Alliance (IESA)

Day 3 Market – Based on business cases from around the world, this day will give a unique inside view into Energy Storage. We will draw lessons from challenges, barriers and hurdles encountered and overcome.

  • Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President in charge of Energy Union, European Commission
  • Paul McCusker, Vice President Energy Storage, AES Netherlands
  • Andrea Villa, Head of European Regulation, Enel

This year’s conference will also include an exhibition with a broad mix of exhibitors to fully reflect the reality of Energy Storage.
