The development US’ largest commercial offshore wind farm has been delayed, now thanks to the country’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) decision to launch a “cumulative impacts analysis” of offshore wind projects on the US coastline; possibly jeopardizing the entire project.
Wind energy companies Orsted and Eversource, have signed a turbine supply contract with Siemens Gamesa to power 1700MW of US offshore wind farms.
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Israel’s Ministry of Energy (MoE) along with the Israel Innovation Authority have selected seven clean energy projects to receive a $6 million investment.
