US city issues tender for supply of AMI system


The new metering system will include smart water meters and communication infrastructure.

The firm to be awarded the contract will be responsible for the maintenance of the AMI software over a period of 20 years.

The city will be installing the system to improve the automated metering system currently being used by the city’s Public Works Water Treatment and Distribution Service (WTDS) for accurate water billing.

Proposals in the form of ten hard copies and three electronic copies are requested to be sent addressed to: City of Minneapolis – Procurement Request for Proposals for: Advanced Meter Infrastructure 330 2nd Avenue South, Suite 552 Minneapolis, MN 55401.
