Capgemini named a top BPO outsourcing firm


New York, NY, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — September 28, 2006 – Capgemini, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has been named one of the world’s premier business process outsourcing firms by the International Association of Outsourcing Professions (IAOP).

The IAOP is a global standard-setting organization and advocate for the outsourcing profession. Earlier this year Capgemini was ranked among the top five of the world’s best outsourcing companies by the same group. The company’s inclusion on this latest list followed what the IAOP called a “rigorous” process that considered BPO outsourcing companies’ size and growth, customer experience, depth and breadth of competencies, and management capabilities.

“Being selected to the Top BPO Providers list for 2006 is a tremendous achievement that speaks to Capgemini’s position as one of the industry’s most valuable partners,” said Michael F. Corbett, executive director of the IAOP.

In February this year the IAOP inducted Paul Spence, CEO Global Outsourcing Services for Capgemini, as an inaugural member of its Outsourcing Hall of Fame. Capgemini has also been recognized as number 15 of the world’s top 50 best-managed outsourcers by The Black Book of Outsourcing – an annual comparison of the world’s most distinguished outsourcing services providers researched by the Outsourcing Management Institute and the CRO (Chief Resource Officer) Institute. In the Black Book Capgemini was ranked highest among all global outsourcing vendors that offer both IT and BPO services and have annual revenues of at least $5 billion.
