ClickSoftware to share ‘smart’ technology expertise at high-level power meeting in Delhi

ClickSoftware Technologies is one of several global high-tech companies that will share their best practice solutions with India’s top power professionals and utility leaders during the Metering, Billing/CRM India 2009 conference and exhibition in Delhi from 23-25 November.  The Honourable Chief Minister of Delhi, Madam Sheila Dixit, will be the guest of honour.

ClickSoftware Technologies (NasdaqCM: CKSW) is a leading provider of mobile workforce management and service optimisation solutions and has had a significant local presence in India since April this year when it acquired the Manchitra workforce management business.  Energy and utility companies around the world such as ETSA Utilities, CLP, Sempra Utilities and Southern California Edison are using ClickSoftware’s solutions to manage their workforce more effectively.

The Indian government’s campaign to provide “Power for all” by 2012 will depend on the successful implementation of new, “smart” technologies by the country’s utilities to meet their local needs.  So-called “smart” technologies and strategies are necessary for India’s increasing energy demand and to curb high electricity losses and the Metering, Billing/CRM India conference and exhibition will create a platform for utilities and suppliers to find solutions together.

ClickSoftware will present one of the workshops on “Optimising the smart meter deployment” on Monday 23 November.  Says Professor Moshe BenBassat, Chairman and CEO of ClickSoftware: “The value of workforce management and optimization solutions is gaining recognition in India primarily by utilities and telecommunication companies involved in the massive expansion of the country’s infrastructure. We see a tremendous opportunity to play a leading role in selling and delivering these solutions and helping organisations manage their growth and operate efficiently and cost effectively.”
