Sao Paulo, Brazil — (METERING.COM) — January 20, 2009 – Brazilian utility CPFL Energia has launched a customer call center company to provide services to its eight distributors in the states of São Paulo, Paraná, Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul.
The first unit will be opened in April, in the city of Ourinhos (SP), with investment of R$3.4 million (US$1.5 million). The unit is expected to have approximately 200 representatives, who will handle around 11,000 calls daily from CPFL Jaguariúna, CPFL Piratininga and CPFL Santa Cruz. The company will provide services via an 0800 line, chat and e-mail.
CPFL Energia has more than 3.3 million customers across Brazil.
