Edenor selects new customer care and billing system

Buenos Aires, Argentina — (METERING.COM) — August 20, 2008 – Buenos Aires utility Edenor has selected Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing and Oracle Utilities Business Intelligence applications to enhance customer service in an increasingly complex, highly regulated market.

The applications will replace legacy systems in order to help Edenor streamline business processes while enhancing customer service and revenue management.

“One of the key reasons we chose this customer care and billing application was to provide our call center staff with a comprehensive view of each customer in order to enhance the customer experience,” says Rogelio Pagano, chief financial officer of Edenor. “In addition, it provides the flexibility and scalability we need to continue high levels of customer service as demands change and grow.”

Edenor is the largest electricity distributor in Argentina in terms of numbers of customers and electricity sold. Its concession area of 4,637 km2 comprises a population of about 7 million in the northern zone of Buenos Aires and the northwest of the Greater Buenos Aires area.
