Emiliano Pedraza named director general of Mexico’s National Energy Saving Commission


Emiliano Pedraza Hinojosa has been named by Mexico’s Secretary of Energy, Georgina Kessel Martínez, as the next director general of the National Energy Saving Commission (Comisión Nacional para el Ahorro de Energía, CONAE).

Pedraza joins CONAE from the Energy Secretariat where he has held the position of director general of information and energy studies in the Subsecretary of Energy Planning and Technological Development. He is a licentiate in law from the Universidad Latinoamericana in Mexico and holds a Master of Science in economic development from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Pedraza replaces Juan Mata Sandoval, who will become director general of climate change policy in the Secretariat of the Environment and Natural Resources.
