Grid Metering Specialist joins PRI

Jim Nield has joined PRI in the newly created position of Senior Business Development Manager for Grid Metering as part of PRI’s expansion programme. Jim has over 25 years of broad experience in the energy metering industry, gained at Landis & Gyr and Siemens Metering.

Jim’s mission will be to increase market penetration for PRI Grid metering products across International export markets plus the UK market. Jim joins the very successful PRI team, who have just been awarded The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: International Trade 2006. Jim will be based at the newly opened PRI product development facility in Blackburn,  he will however be working closely with PRI team members based in the UK and at offices abroad.

Jim who is a member of the Institution of Engineering Technology has a MBA, in addition to his engineering qualifications. Jim’s broad skills and experience include Engineering, Quality Assurance, Management , Business Excellence and Business Development.

Kaushak Patel, General Manager Business development at PRI welcomed the appointment by saying  “PRI are very pleased that Jim has accepted the challenge of this strategic role.”

Jim commented “I am looking forward to working with the PRI team and International agents to build on existing business and develop sales in new markets.”
