Jackson Electric CEO to step down

Jackson Electric Cooperative CEO and general manager Ron Roodell is to step down after four years with the company.

Roodell, whose last day will be November 14, said his decision is due to wanting to be closer to family in Montana.

“An opportunity came along I just couldn’t pass up,” Roodell said. “Black River has been a wonderful community to be a part of. The people have been great, and it’s been a wonderful experience.”

Roodell took over from long-time Jackson Electric general manager Mike Anderson in August 2004 and cited highlights of his tenure as the construction of the new headquarters facility and the deployment of an automated meter reading system.

Jackson Electric is headquartered in Black River Falls and serves 8,473 meters in west-central Wisconsin.
