Kamstrup has announced that Saseco, a software development company will become an integrated division of the company, through which Saseco’s ‘eButler’ solution will be offered to utilities who will benefit from a ‘new analytical platform to optimise grid operation and a tool to service their consumers’. E-butler is a visualisation tool that analyses data gathered from smart meters. Kamstrup is said to play an active role is supporting and further developing the platform as an ‘open and integratable solution’. Customers and utilities will gain a greater understanding of their energy, heat and water consumption and are afforded the opportunity to amend their usage behaviour accordingly.
According to a Kamstrup press release, Technology Manager for Software at Kamstrup, Henrik Mogensen said of its latest acquisition: ‘In order to visualize data to drive intuitive fact based decisions we will increase our offering and competences within analytical software through partnerships and acquisition. Saseco is an important step in this direction.’
