New self-service option for utility customers

Customer Service 2Washington, DC, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — October 13, 2006 – Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power, and Pepco, all utility companies owned by Pepco Holdings Inc., have added a new self-service option to their websites. This will allow 1.8 million customers in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia access to their bill histories for analyses that will help them proactively manage their energy costs.
Nexus Energy Software was chosen to provide its ENERGYprism® web-based customer service and energy bill analysis software system as the basis for Energy Know How Solutions, PHI’s new self-service option.
Energy Know How Solutions provides residential and small business customers with a personalized examination of energy costs for their appliances and equipment by end-use, causes for bill changes, benchmarking of costs compared with similar homes and businesses, and the improvements that can be made to lower their energy use.
ENERGYprism is based on advanced models that use bill history as well as weather and customer-provided information. PHI has implemented the entire suite of software tools available under ENERGYprism.
