Outage Management System Improves Customer Service in Brazil


CPFL Paulista, a subsidiary of Brazil’s largest electricity utility CPFL Energia, has gone live with SPL’s Outage Management System (SPL OMS) to improve the integration of OMS with other crucial operational and customer service systems. In addition the utility also has the option to upgrade its outage management capability as its network expands.

CPFL Paulista has 3.3 million customers, and the improvement in outage response times because of the precise information the software provides has already enhanced its efficiency and improved customer service. Next year CPFL Energia plans to roll out and upgrade the SPL solution for use by another of its subsidiaries.
