Dr Peter Heuell has been appointed as the CEO of Landis+Gyr Germany with immediate effect. Herbert Brunner, the previous CEO, will become the COO and take over global responsibility for the heat meter business. The management team is completed with Bernhard Hubert, the current CFO.

Ad van der Meys, executive VP Landis+Gyr EMEA said, “We are very happy that Dr Heuell has joined our team as he knows our industry and business extremely well.” He added that the company is completely prepared for the expected coming changes within the German energy market.

Heuell began his career in metering at ABB (previously known as Elster), where he held different management positions in Germany and the U.S. for seven years. He then joined ABB’s systems business. Before his appointment at Landis+Gyr, he held the position of CEO with a successful IT company.

“The energy market in Germany is on the verge of great change,” Heuell said. “Smart metering and integrated end-to-end solutions improve utilities’ efficiency, give real time information for supply and demand, and provide more service options.”
