The first Smart Grids Africa conference will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa from July 28-30, 2008, under the theme “Building a smart grid infrastructure to ensure supply security for 2010 and beyond.”
With this event Smart Energy International wants to sensitise African utilities, regulators, vendors and consultants to the huge changes that are taking place in utilities globally. Moreover, the event aims to discuss the future impacts these changes will have on the industry, at both national and at continental level.
The program will focus on smart metering, utilities’ future requirements, AMR, the smart grid as well as new technologies, among other topics.
