The Closing Panel Session, taking place on October 28th in New York City, is titled “The Smart Energy Landscape” and features some of the leaders representing different viewpoints in the smart energy movement.

- Robert Catell, Chairman of the New York State Smart Grid Consortium. In addition to his role with the New York State Smart Grid Consortium, Mr. Catell is also the Chairman, Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) at New York State University at Stony Brook and is the former Chairman, U.S., National Grid and former Chairman and CEO, KeySpan Corporation.
- Deborah Ifrah, Executive Director, JP Morgan. Ms. Ifrah heads up JP Morgan’s Smart Grid Practice and has been involved in some of the largest commercial transactions that are shaping much of today’s vendor landscape.
- Howard Scott, Ph.D., Managing Director of Cognyst Advisors. Dr. Scott is a renowned expert in metering, communications, and the many technologies that are shaping what has become today’s smart energy landscape. An advisor to Fortune 500 companies, niche solution providers, and utilities of all sizes, Dr. Scott is recognized for his valued insights and estimates about AMI and Smart Grid market direction.
- Ron Prosser, CEO of The Prosser Group. After having held executive positions at Boeing, Mr. Prosser now heads up an organization that provides consulting, engineering and venture capital in the energy and clean water fields. A trusted advisor on in the smart energy field, Mr. Prosser is a recognized leader in identifying and successfully building solutions and organizations in the smart energy field.
