S. Padmanabhan, executive director (operations) at Tata Power, has agreed to present the keynote address at Metering, Billing/CRM India, following the official opening of the event by Rakesh Nath, the chair of the Central Electricity Authority.
Tata Power, India’s largest private power utility, will also be the host utility for this leading utility event.
Mr Padmanabhan brings rich experience in large-scale project build up and delivery, global sourcing and value creation in operational efficiencies. He joined Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in 1982 as a trainee and progressed into various roles. He played a key role in several landmark projects such as the development of a securities clearing and settlement system for SEG in Switzerland as well as other key engagements in New Zealand, Australia, UK and USA. As the executive director and head of global human resources of TCS, he drove initiatives to create a multilingual and culturally diverse global workforce and was responsible for over 100,000 employees worldwide. He achieved the highest retention rates at TCS as compared to the overall Indian IT industry, besides creating a world-class training and learning focused organization, capable of integration of over 30,000 new employees every year.
A Gold Medalist in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbator, Tamil Nadu, as well as a Gold Medalist from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Mr. Padmanabhan is a life member of the Computer Society and a Senior Fellow of the IEEE.
