The Solar PV revolution in UK – is it generating enough for you?

In April 2010, the UK government started the FITS scheme to promote renewable micro-generation across the country. The tariff proposed made renewable energy very attractive to the home owner and to investors.

The scheme has been quite a success especially for photo -voltaic (Solar PV) and wind energy installations. In fact by December 2011, 1 GW of installed capacity had been achieved by the solar PV sector itself.
