St. Louis, MO, U.S.A. — (METERING.COM) — December 20, 2007 – TWACS OC™ (Operations Center), integrating common functions into a graphical, easy-to-use interface for smooth navigation with a consistent look-and-feel across TWACS® Net Server (TNS) application environment, is to be released in January 2008.
Using the new TWACS OC interface, TNS will provide simple management of the TWACS communications network, and adaptive control of advanced metering data in a relational database server. The functionality of the software is typically operated by front office personnel and includes meter maintenance, system status, substation maintenance, AMR job scheduler, and system security.
Steve Pascoe, product marketing manager for DCSI, explains that the TWACS OC release creates an intuitive interface that will enable customers to easily access, with one click, the functions they perform every day.
All TWACS TNS customers who are current with their support will receive TWACS OC at no charge.
This is the first of three planned releases in 2008 for TWACS OC, with each release adding existing TNS functions to the new OC interface.
