The ZigBee Alliance recently announced it will hold its inaugural ZigBee Developers’ Conference to provide developers with a hands-on opportunity to incorporate ZigBee technology into products and attend workshops on four ZigBee-compliant platforms.
Held in conjunction with CABA’s Connected@Home2005 in Las Vegas, October 3rd – 6th, attendees of the ZigBee Developers’ Conference will learn directly from ZigBee member companies – including Chipcon, Daintree Networks, Ember Corporation, Freescale Semiconductor, Integration Associates, and San Juan Software – how to implement ZigBee technology into wireless sensing and control products for the residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
For additional information on the ZigBee Developers’ Conference or to register online, please visit the ZigBee web site.
The ZigBee Developers’ Conference is part of the Alliance’s continued efforts to encourage the development of ZigBee applications. As part of this initiative, the Alliance also recently announced the public availability of the ZigBee specification. Universities, research institutions, companies and individuals can now access the specification and develop applications for ZigBee-based technology for non-commercial purposes.
Additionally, companies interested in ZigBee can review the technical details of the specification in its entirety and gain a greater understanding of the value of ZigBee to their wireless networking efforts. After evaluating the specification, organisations can choose to join the rapidly growing number of ZigBee Alliance Adopter Class members to receive full access to all final, approved ZigBee specifications in order to develop, deliver and receive certification for their ZigBee products.
